Vitamin D3 and K2 in One Capsule for Bone and Vascular Support
Vitamin D and vitamin K2 work as a pair. Most people on D3 never think about K2. This capsule gives you both: 4,000 IU (100 mcg) of D3 and 100 mcg of all-trans MK-7, the long-acting form of K2. Pure Encapsulations describes it as “supports bone and vascular health.”*

How It Fits Into a Protocol
My bone plan is D3 and K2, Magnesium Glycinate, and adequate protein. I rarely give vitamin D without looking at magnesium too. Take it with a meal that has some fat in it, since both vitamins are fat soluble. Your practitioner can recheck your vitamin D level after a few months and adjust.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 4,000 IU too much?
It is a full daily dose, so it is best matched to your labs. Pure Encapsulations recommends that individuals taking more than 50 mcg (2,000 IU) vitamin D per day have their blood levels monitored, and your practitioner can set the right amount for you. Anyone with a kidney or calcium concern should check with their physician first.
Can I take this with a blood thinner?
Check with your prescribing provider before adding this. Pure Encapsulations also states that vitamin K may be contraindicated with Coumadin (Warfarin).
When should I take it?
Once a day with a meal. Pure Encapsulations directs 1 capsule daily with a meal or as directed by a health professional.
