How we communicate
Once you are an established patient, follow-up communication between visits happens through pMD, our secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging platform. You'll receive an invitation to the pMD app after your first visit. Messaging in pMD works like texting, but it is encrypted and kept as part of your record. Messages go to Dr. Allison's pMD account, not to a personal cell phone.
Please use pMD for anything about your health: questions about your plan, symptoms, supplement dosing, lab results, and updates between visits.
Email
Our office email, admin@masterthebody.com, is for scheduling, billing, forms, and general office questions. Please don't send health details, lab results, or clinical questions by regular email or standard text message. Those are not secure channels, and we may ask you to resend through pMD.
Response time
Messages are typically answered within 24 hours. Because these are not scheduled appointments, that is not a guarantee; our commitment is a response within 48 hours. If Dr. Allison is out of the office, an away notice will let you know when to expect a reply.
pMD is not for emergencies. If you have an urgent medical situation, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Follow-up messages
Follow-up messages through pMD are included in your care at no charge. If a question becomes extensive and needs a direct conversation to answer properly, we'll let you know and schedule it as a consultation.
Consultations and fees
Consultations are $350 per hour, whether in person, by phone, or by video. Time is prorated by the minute, so you are billed only for the time used.
The initial consultation is normally $497. We're currently refining our new-patient intake process, and patients who come on board during this period receive the initial consultation at $350. It includes Dr. Allison's review of your intake paperwork and any labs or imaging reports you've sent in ahead of the appointment. Follow-up appointments include review of anything new you've sent in for that visit.
