
We were just visiting family in Miami and on one of the days we went out for breakfast. I ordered a vegetarian omelet; when it arrived I was in AWE! I asked how many eggs were in the omelet and server didn't hesitate to respond - 10 eggs! Who eats a 10 egg omelet???
As a Doctor whose large portion of practice is in nutrition, I am EXTREMELY particular about portion control! This subject comes up with my patients at least a couple of times a day! I even talk to my kids about it!
Portion Control is HUGE! No matter how big the meal is in front of us- we MUST make a conscious decision of not eating it all or more than our bodies need! Large portions may lead to obesity, heart disease and lessen the longevity of one's life!
So, I urge you - BE IN CHARGE of how much you eat! Your body will be healthier, happier, stronger and you may just live much longer!
